Hot Mama Tip: Easy Eyes

By Glinda

When I first heard of this next product, I was skeptical, yet intrigued. Applying eye shadow, especially tricky effects like a smokey eye, can be difficult. It usually takes a lot of practice, and thus a lot of time and product to achieve the right look.

So, a makeup artist perfected (in her kitchen, no less!) a mineral eye makeup that you can apply to your eyes in one shot with a plastic sheet. The whole thing, from lashes to brows, is done for you instantly. Well, ok, maybe there is a bit of fussing with the placement and then the primer, but most of the work is done for you.

I read the reviews on this product, which were for the most part very positive. The eye shadow itself was long-lasting and everyone said they got lots of complements. The only drawback I can see would be if they didn’t fit your eye shape correctly. I’d be more into trying one if they weren’t five bucks a pop.

But, they also seem like a nice time-saver for all those holiday parties. Would you be willing to chance it?

See, I’m the kind of person who does makeup just for the fun of it, so this would take a lot of the joy out of it for me! Still, nifty idea.

Clever idea, but I’d still prefer to do my own. I like experimenting to find out what tricks work for me.

As I do not wear make-up and generally look like Bozo the Clown when I try, this is quite intriguing. I’m still not quite convinced it’s as easy as it sounds, but it might be worth a shot.

I’ve been farting around with the smoky look for ages. If these deliver instantly, I’d pay. But I’d have to try them first (hint, hint any marketers looking at the blog).
