Bop-Bop
By raincoasterDeveloping an appreciation for Nine Inch Nails before you’ve even outgrown the car seat? This kid is shockingly precocious, and no doubt destined to intimidate entire classrooms with his effortless cool!
As the YouTube commenter said, I just hope nobody catches him singing the words to Closer on the playground!

NIN is exactly what I think of when I want my son to hear music. NOT!

Awww, everybody loves the Trent…at least now that he seems to be off the drugs and roids.

Heh heh. The list of songs-that-make-you-go-huh when my girls sing them has grown ever since Guitar Hero entered our lives. My seven year old declared that “Mother” by Danzig and “Tattooed Love Boys” by The Pretenders are two of her favorite songs, while my nine year old prefers “Surrender” by Cheap Trick. 😀

You have the coolest kids. I’m in awe.

Oh dear, does this mean my kids are not hip? You should hear them sing No One Like You by Sarah Brightman. I tried to get them into ABBA who I love but they hated it. Hehehehehe 🙂

Depends, Atasha. If they can beatbox to some Sarah Brightman, then they’re cool. Otherwise they’ve got to at least trade up to a nice Charlotte Church or a rich, ripe Xtina.
Still, if there’s a toddler out there who can sing Black Flag, I’m going to adopt it!

Oh but you should hear my 6 & 9 year old belting out the words to almost every song on U2’s Vertigo. (Do you think their dad plays it alot?)

U2 trumps anything, and Vertigo is a wonderful song to teach your kids.

All right, my boy’s favorite U2 song is “Two Hearts Beat as One.”
And he likes him some Chemical Brothers and “In a Big Country.” No, I don’t only listen to 80’s music, either.

Glinda, when you and I are rich and famous bloggers we will hire Bono to perform at all our parties. And he will damn well sing “All I Want Is You” every. single. time.
Kids are all about the rave scene. Heck, that’s a case where adults stole the scene straight from kids’s fantasies. Twentysomethings wandering around with fairy wings, Hello Kitty outfits, and pacifiers (yes, I KNOW why)? Totally a kidcentric look.
But Chemical Brothers are great for dancing, especially for the young uns.
