Merry Merry!

(Image may or may not be an approximation of Glinda’s wrapping-fest last night)

The past couple years have found me at midnight on Christmas Eve, cursing and wrapping a bunch of gifts that needed to be under the tree, stat. This year finds me doing a bit better, with all presents wrapped or put into their adorable little bags. And yes, they are all adorable bags. I am so not biased at all. I’m even more proud of myself that I only had to go through two bottles of wine as opposed to my normal three.

It was only one.

And a half.

So on this Christmas Eve, I would like to wish all of our dear readers a wonderful holiday.

I know that weather is an issue for many, so stay safe and take care.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Listmania! Glinda’s Fantasy Gift List

Oh, if only money grew on trees! A tree that I had in my backyard!

Unfortunately, life doesn’t quite work like that. But if it did, these are the things I might put on my Christmas list.

Hey, a girl’s allowed to dream, isn’t she?

A Heifer International Gift Ark One of my favorite charities, Heifer International gives the gift of self-sufficiency to struggling populations. The Gift Ark not only provides needy families with much-needed livestock, they are then instructed to pass on one of the offspring to another family in need, and on and on it goes.

Leiber ‘Goddess’ Evening Handbag I cannot even describe the awesomeness that is this clutch.

Judith Ripka ‘Estate’ Diamond Cuff I think I would wear this every time I went out of the house.

Baume & Mercier Diamant 8569 I love Baume & Mercier watches. I don’t know why, I just do.

A Mediterranean Cruise Technically, I was supposed to get one of these as an “official” honeymoon trip, but ahem, it never materialized. But Mr. P did, so I’ll just wait, I guess.

Inside Out Hoop Earrings I’m known for my collection of hoop earrings, and I’d love to add these.

Burberry Prorsum English Rose trench OMG! I love this!

Prada crystal-studded Peep-toe Pumps Currently drooling over these lovelies…

My own personal “team.” You know, a personal chef, a maid, a personal trainer, but no nanny needed.

Tesla Roadster Forget the Prius, I’m going for the good stuff. And it’s good for the environment! Everybody wins!

Anything on your fantasy gift list?

When Dreams Come True…

They look like this: real live Super Mario Karts. What, you mean your dreams don’t?

Please note the attention to detail here: not only is the Mario Kart itself perfect, but so is the driver, down to the moustache. The bananas are a nice touch, too.

There’s Something in the Comment Section…

Longtime reader, longtime commenter La Petite Acadienne just got her positive pregnancy test for Christmas! See, just read this blog enough and you will be sure to get pregnant! You get bonus fertility points for adding us in your reader, too. (Bellamama confirms the rumor! Congrats to her as well!)

I saw these on Etsy, and I think they would look great on many a mom-to-be. The first one is customizable for the month, and I think the second one would have been perfect for when I was pregnant.

A sporty little number!

Where was this when I needed it?

A great classic of the late 20th Century, presented live at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Sure, you’ve probably seen some version of it before, but this is one tradition I’m never gonna give up.

Sunday Morning Cartoon: Diorama from naked rabbit

While you’re obliviously enjoying a long sleep-in on Sunday morning, this is what your children are watching…at least, if they’re anything like me. Only presumably your children don’t put Bailey’s in their morning coffee.

They take it black.
