Monday Teeny Poll
By Glinda90% of you do not agree with the rather heavy-handed tactics planned by New York City to promote breastfeeding to new moms. While I think we can all agree that it would be ideal if everybody could breastfeed, the harsh reality is that no, not every single mother can breastfeed. Whether it be due to health conditions, failure to latch properly, failure to produce enough milk, or simply having to go back to work, breastfeeding is difficult for many. To assume all mothers should breastfeed exclusively is to not live in reality.
Today I’m sort of excited about this.

As the mother of a girl who would rather play with “boy” toys than “girl” ones I’m all for it. I’m tired of being told by stores/marketers that only boys should like things like Star Wars and Phineas and Ferb.

I pick “whatever.” I think home/school environment is a lot more determinative than store encounters. But it’s a clever PR stunt. And the pictures look lovely; I wouldn’t mind a shopping trip through the store. Though it would be hard to get the kids past the candy section.

I want all the pink girl toys to die in a fire. I had a thought to get my boys a doll house and I scrapped the idea because the only ones that I could afford were way too pink. I like dressing my daughter in pink but really do all the toys geared to her need to be drenched in pink too?
