The thing I miss most is the freedom to come and go, but that gets better with time. @Eilish- definite advantages to being young grandparents. My parents were just in their late 50s when all their kids had left home, gotten married and started giving them grandchildren. They're now in China visiting my brother and his family for a month on vacation. Not bad.
