Necessary disclaimer that I am not a parent so my opinion IS IRRELEVANT but -- would you become a short-order cook to accommodate your child's new dietary preferences?

I ask because we were visiting friends and at every. single. meal, the mom asked the two boys what they wanted to eat. It wasn't even that the boys had food allergies or were vegetarians. It was just that they had been conditioned not to eat what the parents did. So she made them their own meals for every single meal.

Which I thought was nuts.

But that's just me.

So I am curious about your opinion. Because it's not like you could have a vegetarian just eat the side dishes when you have pork chops and have nutritional balance.
