Saturday Caption Contest: Broadway Babies Edition

Monday, June 8th, 2009
By raincoaster

My new favorite blog, AwkwardFamilyPhotos, is going to be a goldmine for the Friday Caption Contest, I can just see it now. Here’s our winner from the contest last week:

Broadway Babies

And for the winner, I picked this one, just because it’s so mean:

Jennie Says:

Jonas Brothers, the early years….

As always, congrats and imaginary swag to our winner. This week, we’re virtually presenting the hypothetical prize of the Christian Dior Copacabana sunglassesicon, to cut the glare of all that unmitigated fabulousness!

Monday Teeny Poll

Last week I wanted to know your opinion about infants, toddlers, and young girls wearing bikinis. A full seventy percent of you thought that it was just one part of our society’s disturbing trend of oversexualizing our young girls. I agree. A bikini’s main purpose is to show off one’s body. I will admit that it is also handy for getting a tan. But, it isn’t worn because they are the best thing to swim in or play in. It is there to showcase one’s assets. And if a person, such as an infant, has no “assets” to showcase, why put them in a skimpy outfit? Not to mention the dangers of sun overexposure on delicate young skin.

For girls that have yet to be potty-trained, the benefits of a two-piece cannot be denied. That is where tankinis come in, and there are also different types of full-coverage two-piece swimsuits, such as rashguards and shorts. I’m sorry, but I can’t get behind those who say there’s nothing wrong with putting a little kid in a bikini. It’s all about sex, and you might not want it to be, but it is.

Ok, enough social commentary. That’s about all I can handle on a Monday. Let’s get a little fluffier, shall we?
