I wear sneakers, because I normally walk several miles in a day, but I am fond of the stylish new cloth flats; with cushy insoles added, they’re quite comfortable, if sadly not terribly durable.

But if I could afford it, I’d wear nothing but shoeboots and boots all year ’round. Cowboy boots, Frye boots, zippy little superhero-style boots, Dayton motorcycle boots…alas, all that leather does not come cheap!

I was the Queen of the ballet flat until I developed painful heel spurs. Then I was the Queen of the sneaker for a while as I was recovering. Then I found these wonderful booties from Me Too with what we used to call a Queen Ann heel back in the day. High enough for support without heel pain and actually pretty good looking. I got 2 pairs… brown leather and grey suede. Now, I’m all about the booties.

{Smiles} It wasn’t until I was in college that I learned that not everyone folds their socks the way my mom did. That was when I finally understood the math question about how many socks you have to pull out of a drawer of black socks and white socks to get a pair that matches.

Around the house you will find me exclusively in flip flops or Uggs. Outside, my Cole Haan mary jane/sneaker hybrids are my most popular go to.

When I’m out of the house, I’m all about the ballet flats. In fact, the staple of my foot wardrobe — my black ballet flats — are in need of a new sole.

But since I work out of my house and am in it for most the day, I would have gladly clicked on the barefoot option.

Or maybe “tap shoes” since I wear those quite a bit as well.

Flip flops and sneakers are a no-no in my office, so I wear heels on a daily basis… but being a stumpy little person, I usually like something with a bit of a heel anyway, to put me on eye level with everyone else!

I wear sandals as often as possible – from the first hint of spring until the snow flies. Flat sandals, heeled sandals, black and grey and nude. Flipflops to my favorite Anne Klein heels. They’re just easier to put on (and off!) and don’t require matching socks which I can never find without dumping out the whole drawerful and trying to find the ones that came unmatched between the dryer and today’s dressing time. My husband laughs and thinks my toes are cold. Nope – but they are fabulously polished thankyouverymuch!
