My favorite is the Red Pig. I thought it was done in such a lovely, wistful way. I also loved his Rupin series. Totoro broke my heart - little Mei was so, so real. I adore Miyazaki’s movies. That was in 2002, and I have still not gone back to try and re-watch the movie. It was just so painfully <i>not fair</i> that they had Happily Ever After and I didn't. I'm sure it's an awesome movie if you're not carrying baggage like that, though. OMG, I was given My Neighbor Totoro as a gift at the worst possible time: my own mother had just died of cancer at age 51.
