I agree, a walk should be about your child observing and hopefully interacting with the world around them. Parents should be talking and pointing out interesting things, not having the kid watch a movie!

Jennie, my sister Jen the neo-natal NP says the same thing — that children should not watch TV until they are old enough to talk (intelligently) about what they are seeing.

My corollary rant to the stroller issue: Parents, your children can go more than an hour without food. It is not necessary to take bananas, juice and cheerios to church. (And what’s with all the juice, anyhow? Why can’t a kid drink water?)

This child will be on ADHD meds. There are studies that prove too early exposure to TV, Video, Computer promotes ADHD.

OK… Most of my friends have told me that I am going to be the mean old lady rocking on the front porch, holding my shot gun, sipping a “beverage” from the jug and telling the kids that I’m going to put a cap in their tiny little butts if they diss me at all…
