Celebrity Dad Faceoff

By Glinda

In last week’s faceoff, Brad Pitt won over Matt Damon by just a little bit.  Which got me to thinking, many of you have stated in the comments that a certain celebrity Dad wasn’t talented enough, or intellectually stimulating enough for you to vote for him, even though he is very hot (see Matthew McConaughey).

Now I am going to give you the ultimate beauty vs. brains choice.  Not that one is totally stupid, and not that the other one is ugly.  But.  One will never be a doctoral candidate, and the other will probably never be asked to do Playgirl.

Let’s see if you are all about the IQ and talent, or if a nice six-pack is enough to persuade you to abandon your lofty ideals.

I’d be interested in seeing Colbert out of that shirt and tie, and with his hair a bit mussed up. For all we know, he’s got a body like Brad’s under all of that business attire. :)

He does appear to have very nice arms, if this photo is any indication:

Is there any question? Colbert all the way! He’s a pretty spry dancer, you know.

  3. Glinda Says:

I have to say that I have a weakness for witty, intelligent men who wear fabulous suits with French cuffs.

Brad? I’ve never gotten his appeal.

  4. PaperPusher Says:

I’m still disappointed over the loss of Matt Damon. I think he’s a combination of beauty and brains. Brad? Yes, he is perfect to drool over, but if you ever read any of his interviews or listen to him, I think he’s one of those that stay or become even better good looking when he remains silent. Colbert rocks.

  5. Bellamama Says:

I’m sorry, but I kind of feel like Brad Pitt deserves a little longer run than this. He’s got to be one of the hottest guys in the world (and has been for decades), but by tweaking the contest this way he gets a mere two week run. I love you Glinda, but that’s cheating.

I just want to know what was going through Angie’s head when she decided on IVF. I mean, you’ve got a license to have all the sex with Brad Pitt you want and you say nuh-uh, gimme a stranger in a lab coat instead?

  7. Liz Says:

Colbert all the way. Brad lost me when he left Jennifer for Angelina. He’s good looking to be sure, but I lost all respect for him then.

  8. mrsdarwin Says:

See, the IVF thing is disturbing. Two of the hottest people on the planet (in public perception, anyway; I don’t care for Pitt), no fertility problems, and they don’t just HAVE SEX to get pregnant?

I could give Angelina a few tips on having more children faster…

  9. class-factotum Says:

What? Angie had IVF? Shiloh is clearly Brad’s child. So they decided not to make the new babies the old-fashioned way? I didn’t know about this!

  10. Twistie Says:

I must admit, Brad Pitt’s allure has always escaped me whereas I am a proud member of the Colbert Nation. Stephen, FTW!

Really? Angelina Jolie had IVF? I assume they both liked the idea, but I can’t imagine doing it that way if I could manage it the old-fashioned way…which apparently they can. Then again, they’re the ones milking that particular frog.

Oh, and yes, Stephen Colbert is very fit. There’s an episode of Strangers With Candy where you can see nearly all, and he has nothing whatsoever to hide in the bod department.

  11. Glinda Says:

I’m sorry to upset you, Bellamama, but I am guessing that Teeny Manolo is one of the only places where Colbert would win over Brad Pitt in a hotness contest.

But really, there is nothing to stop anyone from embracing their inner shallowness and voting for Brad!
