When I was pregnant with twins, I lost a lot of weight. In a weird way, though - my babies inside me kept growing healthily all the way to week 38, but I actually lost fat on my body! So here I was a skinny chick with a skinny arms, legs and ass with a HUGE belly in front of me. The babies were literally sucking all of my fat off of me. I have a feeling this is what’s happening to Angie too.

One of my best friends got so sick with one of her pregnancies that all she could eat without puking was plain yogurt! (Luckily, a fairly nutritious food.) She was miserable and lost a lot of weight, so I hope Angelina hasn’t been sick. From observing my friends who have had twins, the nausea can be vicious. Add that to stress from her mom’s passing and you could easily drop a lot of weight.

I know that she lost a lot of weight when her mother passed away recently. Apparently, when she is stressed she DOESN’T eat. My problem is the opposite!

I agree that Angelina is far leaner than I would feel comfortable being pregnant. I looked up those non-cankle pix and you can see muscle definition on the FRONT of her calves. That’s really, really lean. Like, when I ran the marathon I wasn’t that lean.

Maybe it’s because I spend a lot of time reading Manolo for the Big Girls, but I kinda think Angie’s a little too skinny. Look at her arms! They’re very frail looking. Also - the pictures here are a little stretched.
That being said, I totally lament Xtina’s departure into trashtasticness. I still whole-heartedly love her for breaking away from all the male-dominated power-hungry music industry fellows and doing whatever she wanted to do. I just wish she wanted to *not* look like a cougar-in-training.

I love Angelina’s dress! What a gorgeous shade of green. I agree with raincoaster…great stylist!

I have to say, she does look beautiful pregnant, but she also looks very comfortable and happy. I seems to me that a lot of Hollywood moms seem self-conscious and slightly uncomfortable when they are hugely pregnant (which is understandable) but she has looked very content with both her pregnancies, which is always attractive, I think, and rather amazing for a mother of soon-to-be six (!) children.

I was actually reading a very trashy T&A gossip blog (I have to, for AYYYY) and even HE was complaining about Christina and how nasty she looks. Also, everyone knows those boobs are fake, whereas Angelina’s are probably natural (but taped to the gills).

As for Angelina, when I saw she was wearing all those floor-length muumuus I figured the cankles and veins were there, just hidden. She’s got a good stylist.

I think it’s partially because Ms. Jolie is so tall. The tall ladies always look smaller when pregnant. The short ladies got less room to put it.

I concur with Maternal Mirth. It is mostly b/c Jolie dressed to say “isn’t my dress gorge? and don’t i look radiant and oh yeah here is my boobs and don’t they look fab?” and Xtina dressed to say ” HERE ARE MY BOOBS LOOK AT THEM!”

I think the prollem here is Xtina is still sooooooo L.A. and I am finding that in L.A. the trashier you look, the sexier you *think* you are. It’s shallow like kiddie pool.

As for Angelina … she could NOT look any prettier. But I think it’s just her healthy self-image.
