Let's just say I do not thrive on pregnancy. Breast feeding on the other hand, I loved. I can't imagine having the baby and then handing it over - even if I am just the "incubator." If I could, and I felt right about the perspective parents, I would gladly give them a child. I never felt that I could be a parent for a myriad of reasons but I would not hesitate to give the gift to a worthy couple. I am the ultimate Aunt and totally embrace that role but a child needs more than I have the ability to give. I know a lot of couples that would be wonderful parents, want children, and cannot either physically or legally have them. I think children should be allowed to be raised by wonderful, caring, involved people. Too many people are parents by the right of biology, not ability. I would carry for a friend who wanted a baby of their own. Pregnancy really just doesn't slow me down that much and there is nothing like seeing your own little eyes looking back at you.
