Bad Karl!

By raincoaster

Karl Lagerfeld

Do you ever wish you had a son to pass on your wisdom to,
to continue the Chanel heritage?

That’s the last thing I want. I hate all children.
For other people, it’s fine, but not for me.
I was born not to be a family person.

From Prestige magazine, via Jezebel.

  1. Annalucia Says:

People who hate children should not have any. So let us be grateful to the Lagerfeld for that much.

  2. Meg Says:

Yeah, why is he bad? He admits having children is not for him. Hate is a little strong of a word, but at least he’s got the self-knowledge to not try to create a mini-me when it’s not what he wants. Then again, he’s in fashion, he probably throws hate around constantly when he really means “dislike”.

I’m expecting my first kid — it doesn’t mean I think the people I know who are adamantly childfree are wrong or bad.

  3. raincoaster Says:

Um, because hating all children is bad? Yes/No?

If No, please read the rest of the article. You’ll find he hates you, too.

  4. BigRed Says:

I thought he loved children, in an Elizabeth Bathery sort of way–the blood of innocents keeps their skin so nice and young

The ever-present gloves only add to this image…
