In what can only be described as a ghastly lapse in judgement the chef for the state dinner honoring the King of the Bananna people mistook the protocol book for a cookbook, effectively severing all diplomatic ties with Bananna Land before they had begun.

Off Topic- Has anyone else ever noticed how hard it is to stop spelling the word banana?

I’ve seen the gallery of regrettable food and this picture is pretty tame compared to most of them. And I agree with gemdiva, banana is a fun word to type but it’s hard to know when to stop!

Elaina wanted to know WHY she kept inviting Cheetah to her evening soirees. At the very least, she had to start remembering to take the “bring a covered dish and BYOB” off his invitation…

Oh! BTW (for you raincoaster) the original Cheetah is alive and well and is spending his retirement creating works of art to support himself and other retired chimps… Go to the below website for a looksee!

…Because everyone knows bananas, served without chocolate, whipped cream, and a home-made pie crust, are just plain nasty!

Thanks. Can one ever get enough Cheetah? Cheetah rocked. As I was saying earlier today to a reader who sent me a picture of a Cthulhu Garage Sale sign, it’s great to have a readily identifiable style.

No, no, no. The sliced banana goes into the bottom of the dish, and the chocolate pudding is poured on top. Whipped cream is not necessary – assuming always that the substance in the photo is indeed whipped cream. From here it looks like a dip for the vegetables.

Lileks is the best. You must check out Mommy Knows Worst, one of his other books. As far as captions go, I bow to gemdiva!
