Just What You’ve Always Wanted
By GlindaYour eyes are not deceiving you, the little girl is indeed writing on the refrigerator.
Introducing the Amana “Jot” model that comes with a front composed of the same material as Dry Erase boards.
Just think of the incredibly detailed notes you could leave!
What do you think? Cool or not?

I’m wondering why A) this took so long and B) I didn’t think of it.

I think not. Dry erase is messy (I have one in my office and use it daily). It would be more trouble than it’s worth, as I would always be getting dry erase ink on my clothes, let alone the fact that I would never be able to get to the referidgerator if my son had that kind of tableau on which to draw!

I’ve been doing this for years. Enamel will take dry erase marker just fine. It’s a GREAT way to freak out your roommate who doesn’t know it’s dry erase.
But hide the permanent markers or there WILL be an accident.

Waaay cool! I would be doodling and writing all over it. But I’m also the person who had a Lego telephone for years (yes, it had the green base and you could build on it).

BTW a helpful tip I learned is how to erase permanent marker on dry erase surfaces: you just scrawl all over it with dry erase marker, and wipe it off while it’s still wet. The dry erase ink dissolves the permanent ink.

Hmmm…I am not sure I will appreciate all the scribblings that will appear on the refrigerator but it would be nice to know it can be erased fairly easily. What’s next? The dishwasher, washing machine and the dryer? 🙂

I love the idea…but fear how it would be abused by some of Mr. Twistie’s more ribald and less subtle friends.
Ooh, and it looks like there’s no water dispenser! The last time Mr. Twistie and I needed a fridge, there was a whole two fridges to choose from that didn’t have that. We didn’t want a water dispenser, so that was annoying.

Rubbing alcohol will remove both dry erase and Sharpie ink.

Not for my house. My husband has some issue with stuff being on the fridge so he wouldn’t like it.
Besides, he doesn’t see notes unless they are written and placed in his way so he has to take action to avoid them. He’d never notice the writing on the wall or fridge, as teh case may be.

I would be unable to resist the urge to write obscure things on it.

We have a dry-erase board that’s on the fridge – I love it, except when the magnets fail. But, it gets dirty – even the white board cleaner won’t get rid of some of the smudging. I don’t think I’d want that to happen to my fridge.
