Gary Gygax, RIP
By raincoasterGeekdom is in mourning, ladies and gentlemen: Gary Gygax, creator of Dungeons and Dragons, the granddaddy of all role-playing games, has failed his saving throw against death and not so much as a Resurrection spell will bring him back. The geek world is a little smaller and a lot less interesting today.

I well remember the summer when my brother came home from a trip with three staplebound booklets that introduced us to a whole new world full of wizards, orcs, Hobbits, and bizarre things only our deranged imaginations could have added.
It’s been a long time since I’ve played D&D, but I saw the news today and felt a nostalgic pang.
Oh, and if nobody’s marketing that onesie, somebody should start doing it right away. That’s too awesome for words.
