Saturday Spotlight: Goody Goody Shoes
By GlindaBegun by a mom in her basement up in Northern California, her unique style of handcrafted slippers for children and women have been around for more than a decade. These “Bon Bons” have silk and velvet uppers with non-skid suede soles. The website claims that these are for “lounging in style.”
For me, some of the designs are a bit over the top, especially if the only people that are going to see them are my husband, my son, and our betta fish. However, the fabrics are gorgeous, the craftmanship beautifully done, and I could picture myself in some of the simpler designs. They run $29.00 for kids, $41.00 for women.

Would you purchase these for you and your kids to hang around the house? At least you can feel completely glamorous while loading the dishwasher!

41 for slippers? I think not.
29 for children’s slippers? I really think not.

Nope, definitely not for me.

I would never buy them for myself, but they would make a wonderful, super-indulgent gift for someone else…..who would probably never buy it for themself!

Would I? Not only that, I’m headed off to their website now to see all the options. This is my sort of indulgence.
Glamorous feet are well worth a pricetag like that to me.

Yes, those are lovely. If I had the money, I’d buy myself a pair, probably top left. As a blogger, I spend an inordinate amount of time in slippers and quite frankly, it does nothing good to your self-image to look down at your feet and see Phentex bobbles or acrylic socks with rubber appliques.

Top RIGHT I meant. I’m a Goth, dammit, not Strawberry Shortcake!

I got the goody goody mouse slippers as a gift for my daughter, and they are honestly the cutest thing you have ever seen. I put them on her when we went to a wedding and those shoes were the talk of the wedding.

Oo, I’d love to have those. If I’d had a pair of slippers like that as a child, I might actually have worn them. As it was, my mother was always telling me to put my slippers on, and I always insisted my feet weren’t cold.
