The girl births appear to be environmentally caused; the Guardian article points out some anomalies with chemicals in the bloodstream up North. Interesting that it would show up there rather than places that are more heavily populated, though. I wonder if it can be the fish in the diet?

Right, the selective sex thing was going on in China for a long time. I think I heard somewhere that the girl births were enviromentally caused. But I’m a leftie like that, so I’m not sure.

ROFL! I needed that laugh! I do wonder, though why the influx of girl babies in the northern hemisphere? The situation in China is obvious and actually predicted decades ago.
