The very rich ARE different from you and me

Violet Affleck plays with money

When I was Violet Affleck‘s age, I had to play with nickles! Three miles, uphill, in the snow!

    Either it’s a $20 bill at 2 yo or a $3,500 bracelet at 13 yo. Go figure!

I have a dreadful feeling she’s telling the doll, “Now, this is a twenty. If your parents try to fob you off with one of these for your allowance, you just call CAA and get your agent to talk them up.”

And here I thought I was an extravagant mom, giving my son one dollar bills.

Actually, I would never give him money to play with because money is so dirty, and I am a germophobe like that.

Actually, when I went to Indonesia I handed out Canadian quarters and nickles to the kids to play with. They thought the beaver was very strange, and the caribou hilarious, as that’s their word for water buffalo. They think we have some very weird water buffalo in Canada.

I’m betting that Jennifer gave Violet her wallet to play with to keep her entertained, and was unable to retrieve all its contents without prompting a major squawk. My daughter is about Violet’s age and this is exactly what happened to me in church on Sunday.

You got nickels? We only had shiny rocks and seashells.

Ah, otherwise known as gems and pearls. Sneaky, very sneaky. Are you a Rockefeller, perchance?
